Jessica has had a passion for animals since a young age. She began working with horses at age 10, growing up to graduate from SUNY Delhi in 1999 with an AAS in  veterinary technology, and obtaining her license to practice as Vet Tech. Later in life she transitioned to working with at-risk teens and families at Liberty Partnership Program of New York, to help get kids on track for a lifetime of success. After years of on-the-job training, she decided it was time to expand on her skills and earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in psychology/counseling psychology from Johnson State College. In the course of her career, Jessica has held positions as an Emergency Crisis Clinician, Hospital Diversion Clinician( Adult and adolescent), Therapist, Clinical Director of the Howard Center Chittenden Clinic, and as the Regional Partnership Program Manager for Lund/DCF.

During her time in the field, Jessica has helped people work through a range of challenges. Merging her passion for horses and healing is the culmination of decades of work, training, and planning. At this practice, you can access equine therapy, teletherapy, or traditional in person sessions. Jessica uses the psychoanalytic lens, and employs CBT, EMDR, and Supportive Counseling techniques.

We all have challenges, it’s how w process them that determines our outcome. Traumatic events can be debilitating and impact our current functioning in a multitude of ways. Whether it was trauma from childhood or an isolated event, trauma can leave a mark. It changes the way our mind works, leaves us on high alert, and robs us of the joy of the present moment. In therapy, we can uncover root causes and negative beliefs that are impacting your life. If our bodies can hold trauma, they can also hold resiliency.
